"This Nuba Gastown is the worst place we have ever been. It is nothing like the Nuba Yaletown. We waited 20 mins before finally getting served. Don’t know her name she was friendly, but seemed like a deer caught in headlights. She took our order which was hummus and pita appy, dinner was a Grilled Mixed Mezze for 2 people. Also a bottle of Rose’ which was the bright spot of our dinner. We got all our food before even getting our wine which came 5 mins later. Waitress did a disappearing act after we got our wine. I don’t mind pouring my own wine, but the whole dinner. She finally came by at the end of meal asking how it was, told her a grilled meal means it comes out hot or at least warm. Says I’ll tell someone. You would think a manger would come by and say sorry. Nope. Travis was a waiter serving other tables and realized we were not be looked after. So he took it upon himself to help us out.if anyone reads this and choses to try this place make sure you ask for Travis as I noticed he really looks after his tables. It seemed to us our food was served from a buffet or was leftovers sent from the other Nuba’s which are in high end neighbourhoods. We chose this one because it was close to Queen ElizabethTheater before the play. This is the first bad review I have ever done. I don’t like doing it, but if no one comes too ask or apologies then this is the only way to get point out to NUBA Gastown. ."

"My husband introduced me to this restaurant and it’s owners. The food is fresh, flavourful and made with love. The falafel sandwich and tabuli is a must try. The luncheon features are tasty and authentic Lebanese dishes. I would recommend this lunch spot to all."

"I went to the Mediterranean grill for the time tonight. While it’s basically a little hole in the wall, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding and huge. So much flavour. While it’s served in togo containers, it’s well worth going. We glasses of good wine, a beer, chicken and beef shawarma. So delish. The staf were wonderful polite and kind. Highly recommend. Not fancy. Just good"

"Definitely lived up to the hype... This is the real deal. The dishes I tried were so spot on I got the octopus lamb shoulder And they both where perfectly cooked. the lamb fell off the bone the octopus was not rubbery. Rice ,potatoes vegetables were not lacking in flavour it all tasted good as a whole."

"I ordered a pizza- was told an hour- it got there after minutes. The box it came in says free delivery but the website says charge(? The vegetables were barely cooked ordered a veggie pizza) It looked like the cook had basically...thrown the pizza in and only melted the cheese. Very little pizza sauce as well. I found it to be quite disappointing"

"This is one of the places in Vancouver where you’d normally wait for almost an hour to be seated luckily enough when we got here it was just a bit almost lunch time so we got a table pretty quickly after we got seated a party of 40 people arrived (yay for our timing! . We got the Saganaki and the Lamb Souvlaki which were both really yum and their serving is really big! The staff were very friendly and I like the quaintness of the place. I will definitely go back to this restaurant when I’m back in Vancouver!"
