"This eatery was right next to where we were staying in Cairns, and they had a very reasonable breakfast special that we took advantage of twice. For $5.00 (AU) you could have Expresso-based coffee with your choice of toasted banana or coconut bread, or a muffin. We tried each of the toasted breads with our coffee, and they were equally delicious - toasting sweet breads is an interesting practice (worth trying at home). Our only regret was not trying Mykonos Caffeteria for dinner."

"I am very particular when it comes to coffee. I drink a long black coffee-there is no hiding as to whether it's a good, average or poor coffee- the coffee speaks for itself. No milk, no sugar. I also like to drink my coffee out...of a real cup- not a paper or plastic version. Yes, I'm very fussy but so are you about certain things. I have discovered that there are a few outstanding coffee places in Cairns( and northern beaches) and I frequent those regularly and I do try all the new places but I am rarely surprised with new places, let alone blown away. That was until last week when I was in a client meeting and they ordered me a takeaway long black, in a paper cup. My heart sank. Oh dear- didn't want to be rude so sipped away. Wow! I have to say without a doubt, this was the best coffee I have drunk outside of Melbourne. Silk Caffe in the centre of Cairns have outstanding coffee. The real Melbourne experience- they are a match for all the fabulous places in Melbourne-even drunk out of a paper cup!! I am a convert and Silk Caffe coffee beans and their baristas are a fabulous combination. I may however ask for a real cup- that will just enhance the experience!"

"Basically two vegan crepe options: sweet or hearty, with the sweet offer a simple but effective combination of banana and maple syrup. I didn't have it either, but I enjoyed my Turkish toastia with cashew cheese and truffle oil. the waitress had to check if the toastie is actually vegan. it turns out that they usually put butter on them, but they are on my request. I'll be back safely, and next time I'll try a crepe. the garden seat is great! a uniform mixture of shade and sun."

"Brilliant little Chinese restaurant, we ate in the restaurant and loved eating! was actually quite sad to see how quiet it was given, how friendly the personal was and how nice the eating was. a little bit of feedback restaurant needs a bit of background music or something in the evening when we went there were only 3 x tables taken, the place was quiet like the dig and it made them feel like they could not talk about a whisper. we were literally able to hear every word of conversations on the neighbors, although they were whispered!"
