"The restaurant is called vegetarian, but every meal we got was vegan. The won tons were amazing, just like the banana leaf salad and basically we have tasted delicious there. The place is a little far away, at the beginning of the jungle, but you go through a local area that is an enriching experience! The staff only spoke Vietnamese, but we had good communication about google translate. Prices per meal were between 20k and 35k, definitely more than worth it!"

"A great authentic Vietnamese Vegetarian restaurant that is a step up from a lot of the other local places as it has wooden chairs and tables instead of the usual plastic chairs or stalls). Also offers a wider selection of dishes then most, along with pictures and English descriptions. There are plenty of delicious mock meat options and no MSG my local friend asked them). I highly recommend the mock pork skewers so convincing that my meat-eating boyfriend loves them); and the 'com hen ' a vegan version of a popular rice dish with baby clams) which is an absolute bargain at just 20,000 $1) for a big bowl that’s full of flavor. I particularly like the brown paste in the 'com hen ' which tastes a lot like vegemite/marmite! The ladies who work there/run it speak very little English, but you can just point at what you want on the menu which is in English. Service can sometimes seem a bit gruff and it can be hard to get a smile out of the usual lady who takes your order, until, that is, she brings your food over and you show appreciation, then she will grace you with a beautiful smile! It’s a bit lacking in atmosphere, but it’s an authentic, local experience that’s rarely packed full of backpackers unlike the more well-known Ngoc Chi)."

"I have been eating at Roots for three years and it is consistently delicious. The ambiance has always been great but the new location takes it to another level. The food presentation, varied menu, super fresh ingredients, and friendly staff are always on point. Literally everything on the menu is amazing (I’ve tried it all), and the raw lasagna is easily the best I’ve ever had. Don’t miss this place when in Da Nang."

"This restaurant is officially my favourite Vegan restaurant in all of Vietnam. Cannot recommend highly enough, the food choices are traditional Vietnamesewith some western offerings like pizza and spaghetti, but if you are here please don't pass up the hot pot or the grilled mushroom skewers wrapped in rice paper rolls with salad. Honestly the BEST food you'll ever have is right here cooked with home style love and attention. 5 stars."
