"I 'm not one to complain and firstly I want to say that the staff are lovelyy, it 's a lovely little cafe and really fair prices. But if you 're a vegetarian then I 'd avoid this place, I ordered a vegetarian breakfast wrap (I 've been vegetarian for health reasons for 11 years) and it had pieces of burnt crisped bacon in the wrap. The pieces were pink, smelt like bacon.. Tasted like bacon and several other people in my office also agreed it was bacon. The gentleman that owns the cafe tried to tell me it was burnt pieces of egg, it absolutely was not. He gave me a refund immediately and apologised but he told me that they use the SAME cooking area for the vegetarian food as they do to cook the meat products. He said they 'try ' and keep them separate but sometimes inevitably they do share the same area.. I 'm mortified, it shouldn 't be classed and vegetarian if its fried in the same area/oil where meat products are cooking/spitting with the heat and it should be clearly stated on the menu that this area is shared. I 've never, ever given a 1* before, but this is appalling and I wish I could have known this before ordering. If you eat meat however, I 've been told by my colleagues that this is a great place to eat."

"Our first evening meal post lockdown was at Sessions, perfectly appropriate as a former jail. It was great to be back, the food was excellent as usual and it was a pleasure to be served by young, enthusiastic people learning the hospitality business. The rarebit starter was beautifully cooked, my wife loved her hake and I was especially impressed with the pork belly and pork cheek. A really innovative dish that hit the spot congratulations to the chef. My wife was amazed with her passion fruit dessert and I enjoyed my chocolate torte (though wish I'd followed her lead with the passion fruit). Matching wines were great and I thoroughly enjoyed my Old Fashioned aperitif. Value for money? The best available in Lincolnshire, in my view. A perfect evening, and as always, perfectly marshalled by the gentleman in charge. We'll be back!"

"Ordered a few different items and except from the chicken and lemon sauce which was edible at most the rest is vile, I ordered the whole crab which looked like it was going to make me sick and tasted like sick, chicken and sweet corn...soup tasted like chicken water, king prawn salad came with un cooked barely prawns on top of strawberries. Avoid."

"This was on our list of places to go on a little day trip in to Lincoln. Had seen it on Google maps and read the other reviews and it looked like our kind of place. Loved it! We got seated with only a few minutes wait. So much to choose from on the menu. The waffles were soft and definitely fresh with quality ingredients. The iced coffee we had was perfect. So tasty. Great little place and delicious waffles"

"I called here at around 9pm so I was happy to still be served. I took my food home otherwise I would have taken my pucca pie back. The steak and kidney pie was most definitely off, it smelt and tasted bad. The curry sauce was powerdery but the sausage and chips were OK. It didn't seem very good value for money either. I wouldn't go there again sadly."

"Went to explore lincoln for the day and found this absolute shade. it feels like you're getting into a time capsule and you're so well looked after in this local environment. I wasn't sure how eating for the vegetarian options would be, but it was incredible. I ate so good and a good price."
