"Excellent.... We just HAD to drive to Roanoke to give Viva la Cupcake a try...especially since living in another city with sub-par cupcakes has made me miss the choices of the Roanoke Valley! Viva La Cupcake definitely has interesting flavors, I had a chocolate heat with jalapenos! As well as S'more cupcakes that were divine and very well made. Good choice for cupcakes!"

"My husband and I come here for a first time. We had Thai beef salad, Lab Chicken, and Somtum (papaya salad). I like the papaya salad and the beef salad. The Thai ice tea is good also. The owners are very nice and friendly. It’s a small restaurant but the food is good and value for the money.Food: 4/5"

"Ok. I never gush or go over the top about many things BUT this place is THE Place to eat. The starter plate of ribs are unique and superb. Entrees were perpared, plated, and served with a Cool, Hip touch. And speaking of cool if you are lucky and get to meet the owners you will understand why The River And Rail even though not an Itailian joint is my #1 Roanoke restaurant"
