"Food was good. The mac n cheese was thick and cheesy with a little bit of heat to it. It stood out because I do not eat spicy food. Same goes for the seafood stuffed wings. Luckily they sell adult beverages to cool the spicy food. Also, I made an order for pickup online and was able to also pay ahead of time but when I tried to do the same thing a couple days later the only option was to pay in person at the register. The young lady at the counter was very nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. I would go again if they return the option to pay online."

"A little off the beaten path, but much closer than Italy. A family restaurant with REALLY good Italian food. I 've been in the restaurant business for the past 40 years but was blown away by the quality of the food served at a plain Jane location. If you like great Italian food, and are not an ambiance freak, take the time needed to find your way to this under the radar restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Get dessert."

"Located in the Universal Plaza. Watch out for Asian drivers and pedestrians. It's honestly the worst in this plaza. This plaza has lots of parking but sometimes it can get really crowded. People reversing without looking and parking however and wherever they want. Anyways, I always come here for their banh mi. They have all kinds of banh mi but my favorite is the special. They toast the bread before they make it so it's hot. It's relatively cheap ranging from $3-4. Seriously, this place has all kinds of dessert from che to sticky rice. The green and red sticky rice are my absolute favorite. I don't have much of a sweet tooth but the sticky rice has a hint of sweetness so I can usually eat the entire portion. They also have other dried snacks and assorted drinks in the fridge. One down side is that it's cash only! Bummer because I never have cash but when I do, I stop by here. Majority of the workers are Vietnamese who may not speak English too well but shouldn't be a problem if you don't speak Viet. You can just point out what you want. Everyone is friendly."

"I would definitely call this a community coffee shop. It makes Houston feel like a small town. The employees are very friendly, hospitable, and create a family atmosphere. They always remember me. I work around the corner and love that they have a “neighbor discount” for those who work nearby. I recommend the empanadas!"
