"Went here on 16/1/23 to go to the rooftop bar but was told that it was closed to the public till 18/1/23 so we decided to eat in their restaurant on the third floor we ordered and to be honest the food was fantastic could not fault it in anyway. So we returned on 19/1/23 to try this well talked about rooftop bar with the food being cooked by a well known Portuguese chef. We went up in the lift and looked around nice views but nothing fantastic seen better. We sat at our table whilst the bartender was having a lot of banter with what looked and sounded like his mate, after 10 mins waiting my wife went over and asked for menus and about drinks he passed them to her and that was it. We read the menu still sat there while he still chatted away with his friend. After 20 mins in total of being there my wife approached the bar to order drinks and food. He took the order delivered the drinks and went back to socialising with his friend. We sat and watched and this seemed to be the trend get your menu go the bar and order. At no point does it say any where that this place was self service. A few minutes later another guy arrived behind the bar who also seemed to know the person on the other sides of the bar a lot of chat and banter was going on and not enough looking after customers. After waiting nearly 35 mins my wife wanted another drink no one had been the table to ask if we needed anything else or if we wanted more drinks. I got the empty glass and bottle and took it to the bar said I was sorry for interrupting but could I have another drink and can you check where our food was seeing as it was nearly 40 minutes wait. Five minutes later 45 now in total the food turned up my wagu burger and chips and a prawn bomb for my wife nachos and guacamole. All cold we started to eat because we were hungry and didn’t want to wait any longer, both my wife and I wanted another drink so we waited to see if any of the staff could prise them selves away from their chat to see firstly was the food ok and could we get you any thing else but that never happened think it would have been too much trouble for them. After entering the restaurant at 3.05 and being there till 4.45 we thought it’s time to go especially as one of the staff walked past us on two separate occasions seen we had finished never asked was everything ok and can I clear the table or anymore drinks we got up to pay the bill yes we went the bar they never came to us. At the till I asked could I speak to a manager and to my utter amazement the second guy to come on shift said yes wait for it “I’m the manager” well I was speechless at first then put all my points forward to him that I had previously mentioned in this review. He tried to say that he was working behind the bar checking stock whilst talking to his friend who was by the way sat behind me being interviewed for a job. Told him no excuse there were two of you and the customers come first not your mates, asked him was it a self serve bar because that’s virtually all we’ve done he replied no. Told him the food was cold but no one even came near to ask was it ok he blamed the kitchen for that and said it’s their fault we waited to long. Well tell your customers there might be a delay or after so long come and tell them you’re looking into it. He virtually agreed that the service had been poor and apologised he said all he could do was mention to the kitchen about the cold Ford and offered us a massive yes massive 25%off my bill hoping that would encourage us to return. We accepted the discount but I will not be returning and I think they should be looking at retraining staff in the art of serving customers first and foremost and not be spending your time whilst being paid to talk with your mates."
