"My local and I won't be back. Beware don't go there 30 mins before closing on a Saturday! Where do I start? Service was rude. I was overcharged. Food not good. They started packing up the metal stools around me (20 mins before closure) making massive noise. Extremely inconsiderate. It is possible to be courteous to your customers and stack a metal stool under 500 decibells. There were others dining in too waiting for their meals (not just me). I felt completely unwelcome in such a lovely homely looking cafe space. I am shocked really. Sad. I am off to go to the Vanilla Pod around the corner for service with love and a smile. For the record...it is now 10 mins before closure on a Saturday. There are still people here putting up with the rude service and average coffee."

"Narai Kitchen and Bar has been open for about a year. The wait staff are young women in traditional Thai costumes. They are very helpful and not at all pushy. During winter there is a 15% discount for eat-in diners, which helps keep the cold at bay. It takes good food to get people out in the winter's cold and so it was. I had a green papaya salad and prawn dish. I also had a Chang beer, breweed i.n Thailand, which in my opinion is better than the more widely known Singha. In all, it was a satisfying meal for one."

"Great vibes, surprisingly fine dining despite a reasonable price tag, excellent and friendly service. Would highly recommend for a romantic date or a small group celebration together. We will be back!"

"If you’re looking for a great casual venue to listen to some live music then this is the place. The Ascot Vale supports live bands a few nights each week. We went there again on Saturday night and had a great time dancing and singing...along to hits from the 80’s and up. They also have a pool table. Staff are friendly and serve with a smile"
