"We were giving a glowing recommendation of Le Cafe de Paris and decided to give it a go. We booked after looking on their website for a Sunday lunch and really loved the decor but sadly it went down hill from there. There were far too many covers for the kitchen and waiting staff to cope with - this made service painfully slow; secondly, we understood from the website that there was an an a la carte and table d'hôte menu (even on a Sunday) but this was not the case and then three-course menu available was not too our taste nor something we would have chosen and so did not enjoy the food either.Had to wait for ever for water and each course purely down to there being far too many customers for them to provide the service that their price point should be.Will try again, but not on a Sunday lunchtime, when we can choose from the interesting looking al la carte."
