"Our 6 year old wanted to eat at a buffet, so Charlies Diner it was. It doesn't have the large selection of the Watermark in Glenelg but this is reflected in the price, the kids were happy with their favourites being on offer also a free refill softdrink won them over, the carvery veges were really good (meat a little dry) but also a mix of pizza, tacos, salad and asian food on offer so you should find something you will like. They provided hand sanitizer which i appreciated - however convincing diners to use it before using the shared serving spoons is another thing. Charlies Diner is what it is, quick cheap eats for a non-fancy mid week evening out, nothing fancy but not bad either."

"We went there the other night with the kids. The guys on the door were laughing and having a joke with the kids. The staff at the counter let us order lunch specials at dinner and made accommodations to eat things that were not...on the menu. The food was alright and reasonably priced no one left hungry. There was a raffle on and it seemed like lots of people were happy and winning prices. The background music was enjoyable. There were a lot of young adults working behind the bar and eager to serve. All in all, it is what it is ... a local club that provides employment for the local community, offers somewhere to go on a Friday night for a drink, a meal and a laugh. Yes it is dated and the menu is fairly plain, it is not star... but it is not supposed to be."

"Great atmosphere and they do really good live music. it is better to sit outside but would like to have better seats as some of them are so uncomfortable. the beers are good but i have had to white wines there and they were not even cool. should of taken them back. food vans are great. so close to the train station."

"I have reviewed this restaurant previously but it has changed - a lot! This restaurant changes its name more times than I change my underpants. The food is average pub food - Ok for the price. However the new owners have changed the service and significantly reduced the food options. I went there for lunch regularly - I could buy my lunch and order a drink and someone would bring both to my table together with a carafe of water. The last few times I went there the lady who seemed to be in charge and who was mildly offensive took my order for food but said she could not take my drink order there despite them doing this for 3 years previously. She blamed accounting practices but it was a modern electronic till so that was rubbish. She made me traipse through the bar to order a drink. I did not get the water I asked for with my food. My last visit was over a month ago and I will not return until it changes hands again or they respect their customers more. i have been going to the RSL which is wonderful."

"Loved this quirky little bar and had no idea it was there ! I should probably get out more...Great environment, relaxed and enjoyable for a Sunday afternoon. Love the food truck in the back area and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. We will be back soon !"
