"The roast was cold only one bowl of veg between 3 roasts. They forgot the children's meal, the meal was booked for 13.30 but was recorded in diary for 13. 00, I e-mailed them to inform them of the service and had no response therefore am writing a review. Terrible service"

"Not impressed food cold at dinner and in the morning . When we complained we were advised to get in earlier . We did the next day it was still cold Asked for the surcharge to be taken off and shunted between restaurant manager and reception still could not get it removed. Not impressed with room which should have been an executive . Couldn’t open the safe .plugs not working in bath room sink . Room cleaning left a lot to be desired. Staff needed training . Ordered a taxi it never came ..reception forgot to order .no heating in the room ....provided with a portable heater. Kings size bed was two singles put together ."

"What a find! An excellent pub with excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff. Dog friendly even though we were a bit muddy from the adjacent canal towpath. They even brought a bowl of water for the dog. Pizzas are a big thing here but they also provide sandwiches and lighter bites. It was busy for a Wednesday lunchtime so that tells its own story. Highly recommended and I wound definitely go again. Price per person: £10–20"
