"We arrived, hungry, after the kitchen had closed. However, we were still provided with our lunch! Many places in the area serve indistinguishable generic versions of the traditional local cuisine, often straight out of a jar or can, with frozen American-style french fries . Not the...Café Aux Trois Moulins! The Carbonnade was obviously genuine, non-industrial, home-cooked food; The Croque Monsieur just as you 'd like to make it for yourself. And as a real surprise, the frites are real and much tastier than the ubiquitous modern offering found elsewhere. Some of the reviews here complain about the price of the food and an alleged lack of quality. They 've either reviewed the wrong place or they are regular visitors to McD 's (itself hardly a paragon of value! and want only the bland supermarket-style offerings found in many establishments. The prices here are unbelievably low and the food is real. Don 't expect flashy and don 't expect an extensive menu. But you can expect tradition, quality and proper home-made food at a very reasonable price. We will return!"
