"Two things to recommend: 1. The burger is a must have; 2. Hold a party here. I was in 1650 for a week with a large ski group and we gravitated to this small cafe/bar. This was a fantastic place to relax the drinks were...reasonably priced and the food was really well done. The deli schuss burger was really tasty with a generous portion of chips and the onion rings were a nice touch. We also used the bar to hold a party one evening and the owners made great efforts to cater for our needs with a fondue and other plates. Also great for a quiet drink after a day of the slopes in the relaxing sofas and chairs at the back. Right opposite the tourist office give the Schuss cafe a try."

"It can be a bit hit and miss picking somewhere to eat in a ski resort, but we would definitely try this place again if we went back to Courchevel 1650.Good food, in a warm cosy atmosphere with very welcoming and helpful staff and proprietor.Not cheap (nothing is in Courchevel), but perfectly reasonable given the location, the quality of the food, the welcome, the service and the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant."

"Tonight we were hoping to enjoy Italian food in Courchevel and found ourselves in a very unpleasant situation . My wife ordered a SeaBass carpaccio which arrived thickly sliced, chewy and full of nerves . We returned it. Soon after the owner showed up with...a picture of the sea bass on his iPhone jus to prove me it was fresh . The picture dated February 25th and today we are the 3rd or March so a week old fish , served on the mountain , clearly should not be served raw . We carried on our dinner . We we asked for the bill the carpaccio for 35€ was on the bill and when we asked why to the waiter we were literally harassed saying the boss was charging it , as ‘other people have eaten the same fish tonight’ (how comforting is that) To make things worse the owner came back with a very aggressive and arrogant attitude claiming that the fish was fresh and went to his office to pull out a invoice of March 1st from Metro apparently describing sea food deliveries .. At that stage we preferred to pay and out an end to this non sense and were even insulted by the owner saying in French to me that ‘it’s not his problem if my wife is difficult’ Clearly this person has serious problems and should consider another business , definitely not serving Italian food to guests Driving back to the hotel the minivan driver told us that this is the worse restaurant in Courchevel and clearly their reputation is renowned , and to us also today . Courchevel has wonderful dinner venues , enjoy your holidays but consider twice if you happen to walk pass this place Stefano Kaslowski"

"We wanted to make a meal with seafood. When we arrived early, we decided to share a half-litre pitcher of the zider. I ask the polite little server for it. he answers 2 pitchers. I stopped him and told him (all in French, my mother. he replied ok, a pitcher with a cup, and he brought this. because of his very bad attitude, we decided to go somewhere else to lunch. when I asked about the check (12.5 euro) and my cc, he did not declare cc (which I had not seen anywhere) under 15. this commentary is mainly left for the owner or manager who may not know that a bad waiter is the best way to lose customers, and this one that has been awarded the most beautiful attitude I have observed, and we travel a lot. and I owned several restaurants myself."
