"As a COELIAC, I'm always a bit nervous of eating out but eating out at a fish chip amongst other options) bar was facing a real challenge! Would I walk out feeling happy or sick? Absolutely NO GLUTEN FREE PROBLEMS here!! I ordered...the Gluten Free Cod Chips and explained it had to be GLUTEN FREE. of course ,no problem said the waitress. Sounded hopeful! I double checked when my food arrived, scary as it looked liked everyone else' cod chips.I can't tell you how good that food tasted,like I've not eaten in years! As usual, I then worried about if I'd be ok. I was then able to speak to the owner /chef who explained he had a DEDICATED area&fryer just for Gluten Free. I was safe! Really,if you're a gluten free person,you must go eat at Trident . The staff are delightful,the food is so delcious and you have OPTIONS and you'll feel totally CONFIDENT. You'll also be able to order your meal without feeling the odd one out! The ambience of the Diner is great too,modern but traditional.Oh &my normal' friends loved it too!Couldn't rate it higher!"

"We live in Essex and come to Eastbourne at least 3 times a year and only recently found the printers playhouse we've done the quiz twice and have had a great time on both nights a special mention has to go to Ross aka ginger ninja who as quiz master keeps everyone entertained we will definitely go back"

"We had a 70th birthday meal. Staff were amazing, food was lovely they couldn't have done more to make the night special. 17 people all enjoyed they're meals. Absolutely fantastic service. Thank you to all the staff x"

"I had the coronet afternoon tea with my daughter and we had a pleasant time in the lounge area outside the bar. We chose to eat here although a table was laid in the bar area. The service was swift and friendly. The food was reasonable and plentiful."

"Having arrived in Eastbourne around lunchtime on a Friday, we decided to do for a hot lunch. The Crown Anchor provided a friendly welcome and a menu which suited us both. I went for the fish n'chips while Mrs Moose had scampi. It was...good, no frills pub food enjoyed by both of us."

"This is a great place to get a taste of Belgian style beer in eastbourne, five minutes from eastbourne pier. a micro pub/independent brewery, the core of the available beer is brewed directly on the ground. beautiful interieur, a small outdoor sitting area forward, a small but topical menu (speciality: mosquitoes) small dishes, tapas and pub classics. and the wonderful, very friendly staff. let them have a taste of each beer before ordering; these people are really in their brewery project. I went in the happy hour with fall any pint for only ukp3. and it is worth it. a great place to relax and relax. Get out of here!"
