"Had a great dinner at Chef Paz.The sushi rolls (makis) were outstanding, fresh and reasonable prices.The Pork Rib Bar-B-Que was delicious and lots of them!Service was attentive and quick to respond to requests.Food preparation and presentation is excellent.Excellent central location only a block and a half away from the Plaza de Armas in central Iquitos.Highly recommended and will eat at Chef Paz again and again as there are many other great dishes to try!Enjoy!"

"Need a break from Peruvian food? This was a great pick, considering how little else there is out there that does just about any kind of non-Peruvian food right. The first time, I had the ribs. Very good. I've had much better at home, but that's in a highly competitive barbecue state, not a breezy South American outpost. These had the all the major smoky flavor highlights plus the huge side of great mashed potatoes and crispy, savory onion rings was a very welcome thing.Another night, I had the beef and bean chili, which is so filling you may not want to eat for the next half-day. A gigantic (!) homemade tortilla (different from other places nearby in that it's not some strange substitute crepe doing double duty as a burrito shell) to eat it with, too. Yum.For breakfast, the French toast is gigantic and highly recommended. Reminds me of the sweet, eggy, deeply soaked kind my grandmother used to make, a little strange but a lot delicious. The SOS is the best I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot in many places. It is cheap for what you get and truly excellent. I get mine with a fried egg on top. The first time I got it, it was a little salty, but just asked for a little less salt and you'll be good.Bar upstairs is fun later at night too. You feel like you're back in an 80's timewarp, probably when all the stuff there made it to Iquitos. Anyhow, staff is friendly and professional and I would definitively recommended if you need a break from aji this and chaufa that."

"Impeccable service, beautiful and spacious, a NEW standard of excellence in Iquitos! WOW! My wife and I have eaten at many different restaurants in Iquitos and this was a wonderful surprise! Special coffee and tea infusions, a variety of food offerings from sandwiches to full course dinners. The staff and owners have done an incredible job of respecting this historic buildings charms and enhancing them with great design and use of the open spaces. One looks over the city through beautiful tall windows and can feel part of this beauty and enjoy the breeze and the elegant attention to detail. Art is present here on all levels! Visual and taste, sounds and smells, a wonderful experience!"
