"Food was unexpectedly excellent for a beach bar. Prices a what you would expect for the location but the setting is nice. If you’re at the beach you won’t feel guilty about coming here for food and drinks between surf sessions."

"Ora bem, o que dizer:- espaço sujo, chão, vidros e mesas esplanada- pouca qualidade dos produtos expostos- o único funcionário presente, encontrava-se sentado numa mesa a beber- a música encontrava- se tão alta que quase se tinha de gritar- de tal forma, que a empregada nem ouviu o pedido efetuado - depois como não se pediu, nem emitiu qualquer tipo de talão ou faturaA quem possa ter curiosidade... E se prezam o dinheiro que vão gastar... não frequentem"

"Hele slechte service. Wilden 2 drankjes en een broodje hebben, en daarna 2 maaltijden nog. Kregen ten eerste de verkeerde drankjes. Vervolgens 45 min moeten wachten op de maaltijden, en dit waren nog de verkeerde maaltijden ook..."

"Vimos no Tripadvisor a recomendação em Mafra do restaurante João da Vila Velha, quando chegamos no entroncamento da rua do restaurante vimos um Café Bar da Vila Velha e entramos pensando que era o mesmo. Esse, um restaurante bem simples, frequentado por pessoas simples locais, com uma senhora muito simpática e elétrica servindo as mesas, ela nos atendeu e perguntou o que queríamos e desfilou os nomes dos pratos que tinham. Escolhi um lombo de porco assado e minha mulher um polvo, pedimos para beber um vinho da casa (Único existente) e comemos uma comida muito saborosa e bem feita, que foi servida logo após decidirmos. Dividimos uma sobremesa de Arroz Doce e tomei um café expresso. Tudo isso nos custou 12 Euros."

"Must Visit! Super cosy and authentic Argentinian restaurant. The empanadas are fingerlicking good (and cheap) as is the ceviche. Friendly staff and just a very nice place to spend some time"

"After wondering around the old town on a Sunday afternoon, we decided to stop at a small Taverna close to where we were staying for a cold beer and glass of wine. But fortunately for us it was closed. We continued on to our accoms not far away but decided to take a slightly different route. Which was across the front of this lifeless strip of shops set back off the main road. We’ve used the bakery a few door up a few times for breakfast rolls etc and never noticed this place because it was closed.But they had a few tables and chairs outside this time, no one at them but with a name like this we figured they’d have cool beers, and they did. It doesn’t look like anything you’d want to spend much time at. But this bar/ restaurant excelled. Great friendly servers, a decent wine list and very acceptable food. Our Petiscos were great so we ordered the daily special. An Alentejo special only prepared on Sundays. It was all great,lots of locals and more expats than I expected. Everyone including the servers having a great time"
