"This is a superb little unassuming French restaurant in the backstreets of Mareuil. The fact that it was full for lunch, midweek, in the middle of September is indicative of it the regard in which it is held. The clientele was mostly French but there were several English people as well, giving the place a wonderful lunchtime 'buzz'. We actually booked to make certain that we were able to try this little place that had been recommended to us.We had the 13 euros 'Menu du Midi' - a four-course presentation which also included a half-litre carafe of very pleasant house red wine. The entree, main and dessert courses each had a choice of two dishes while the cheese board offered a selection of a six or seven local products.The food was excellent and beautifully presented - it was, in short, unbelievable quality and value. The female waiting staff were friendly, welcoming and very efficient. The restaurant is clean and bright with a colour scheme that is repeated in the table settings. All in all it was a wonderful experience of a small local French restaurant which is, rightly, a roaring success. Highly recommended."
