Staff are welcoming, they are constantly updating the slot machines, offering mobile coffee service, a brand new bar and nightclub that offers plenty of entertainment, a well-stocked buffet and generous draws. "This was our first trip to Sointula and northern Vancouver Island to visit an old friend, and it was wonderful. There is a magic that imbues Malcolm Island that can best be described as quirky, and the Sointula Gallery and Bistro fits right in. Good food, wonderful folks, and after we ate, fabulous music by The Deserters featuring Richelle Andre. We loved it!"

"We stayed in the hotel next door although only visited the restaurant one evening. Had some lovely vibrant salads and tasty cocktails. Kids enjoyed the children's menu and our waitress was chatty and friendly. Have seen people moaning about the prices but it's a nice restaurant in a good location and we thought they were fairly priced."

"We've only been at the Heritage on Monday evenings, when they have Open Mic night. A friend of ours, and a cousin of another friend play and sing on Monday nights. They have a good beer and burger special on Mondays, but it's not on the menu, so ask if you're interested. We've found the burgers/fries/salad to be very good, and they have a nice selection of beers. There's a large group of ukelele players that meet before the Open Mic night starts, so if you get there before 9 p.m., you'll find the restaurant packed full, but they're all playing ukeleles. Not to worry, there's usually a table you can slide into, or you can stand by the bar and order a beer or coffee while you wait. Once the uke group finishes, most of them leave, then you can grab a table or booth. We've found the staff to be friendly, and the burgers and beer excellent. We'll have to try something else on the menu another time, but for Monday night Open Mics, that's a great deal :)"

"Ate at Ki Sushi with a group of 6 people. The services was okay but the food was really tasty. We got one of the platters and a few extra items and it was very reasonably priced! The Sushi tasted very fresh. I will be going back."
