"Our server had a large table to take care of along with our table of Our drinks were lost. Nothing was brought to our table .ie, bread, hush puppies or crackers prior to our appetizer and meals. We Zwaited a fair amount of time with no food being offered. zzThe menu was flexible. We were allowed to substitute sides for the sides that came with our platters"

"Pulled into the shopping center to shop, we seen the sign for the best burgers in town. As always we have to try the best burger in town. Okay, so the sign was correct. The burgers are excellent. Cooked to perfection. The battered shrimp are also very good. Even the service was excellent. The server/bartender her name is Sarah I hope I have the correct spelling of her name, if not I do apologize. Sarah is awesome, she is very energetic and personable. She has a very beautiful spirit about her. The do offer a full menu. The prices are very reasonable. Sorry for not including photos like I usually do but we do highly recommend Smokey's Place for a really good burger. So if you find yourself in the neighborhood that includes all of the truck drivers that stay at the Pilot truck stop you should stop in at Smokey's Place for a real home cooked meal. As always enjoy yourself and please have safe travels America"

"NOT AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN CUISINE! I never thought I'd say this but I would like to have my money back. The best way to describe this place is a high school cafeteria version of jamaican food. Tonight I ordered the oxtail dinner far from a dinner portion let alone any normal portions I've received from jamaican restaurants. Let's get into the flavors, the mac n cheese is basically loose elbow noodles with a thick cheese sauce mixed in. UNACCEPTABLE. the small side of cabbage veggies are way over cooked for jamaican style cabbage and under seasoned. The main star of the dish is mostly bones and sauce. The taste of the oxtail is more closely related to beef stew, absolutely no spice or fragrant wow' associated with Caribbean cuisine. The rice was okay and listed on their menu as rice and peas'. Clearly there are some fundamentals missing with ONE LOVE. What I was served was rice and beans as it should be and there is nothing to say about it, it wasn't memorable. They price their food in the standard realm of jamaican menus but FAILED to deliver on the goods. They give you an option of 3 sides, to go with the oxtail option and rice is one the options along with the usual sides. Now I had to gather that in a case where I didnt chose the rice and say I choose plantains (which they were out of, they were out of a lot of things), mac n cheese and the cabbage this would mean I'd get a side' portion of the oxtail wedged somewhere in my styrofoam container??? That's not very cohesive. The second star is from the half service staff there, completely low effort and just meh' personalities. The biggest turn off is when the waitress who, was decent at 1st, took our TO-GO order stated in an oddly suggestive manner you dont have to give me a tip as she hands me the check receipt, as if I was actively offering or insisting on doing so... really .... that's extremely uncomfortable and distasteful. Not to mention she complain to us how she is about to quit and this would be her last night. I reluctantly gave her a tip as she kept saying it. BUT that's just a huge no no. I'm highly disappointed in this place I've no more to say honestly but do better or price your items accordingly and be clear that this more of American Jamaican cooking. Sorta like TexMex if you will."

"A day when it was closed, went by here and was determined to come back when it was opened. I was pleasantly surprised, I got the garnel and groomed and it was delicious! my friend respected the southern and we both enjoyed him too. there is really no way to go wrong here! is also the full bar open at 11 o'clock?"
