"We had a surprisingly tasty dinner here recently. service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. the sweets were particularly good! the whole food was absolutely tasteful (we ordered our dishes “extra hot” and went really well with the beer they had. it was really useful that they listed all allergens on the menu. only disappointment was that they have no vegan-friendly brot. we'll eat here again when we visit the opposite."

"Menu is nothing like the photos. Lunch very poor. Steak on bread very tough, frankfurter was a poor quality sausage cut into 4 pieces with slimy onions. Chips pale poor quality. No tomato juice or Worcester sauce from bar, no salt and pepper and when asked 3 tiny packets came, no brown sugar for coffee. Service very slow. This lunch was not cheap £1.1 and £13 per very poor dish. Not worth a visit."

"We loved it absolutely, friendly staff! and absolutely amazing eating, best eating that we have ever had! If they don't want to be disappointed, they try it here. we all had something different and it was all just as delicious, my compliments go to the cook/kitchen, you eat is fantastic! if they were not there before they have to go! we can not wait to go back xx"

"That was a delicious meal. I love the burger. juicy and tasteful! the texture of the chips was ideal, a wonderful balance of soft and crispy. the woofers were great. I especially liked the presentation of food go the extra mile that added to the total experience. excellent customer service and I really enjoyed being here."

"Visited last month for Sunday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and 5 star food. I had the beef which was cooked perfectly, served with Yorkshire pud, veg and a large jug of gravy. My husband had the turkey and my mother had the lamb, they said that theirs was cooked perfectly too. Service was very good and we were looked after well. Excellent value for money. We have also tried the home made pizza here too and couldn’t fault. Highly recommended, 5 star all round well worth a visit."

"Friendly, traditional pub with well kept ales. Nice big welcoming open fire in the winter. The perfect place for a drink and debrief after a days shooting at Griffin Lloyd just up the road."

"Driven past many times decided to give it a go. We went mothers day for a meal as a family, very impressed nice roaring fire as you go in. Had a nice pint of lager or two with the meal which was very nice and very filling, should not of had a starter and then the steak. Definitely no room for desert, will be back : ."
