"The Cariboo Hotel used to have excellent food. Well, it's not like the good old days that's for sure. My entire meal was awful. I ordered chicken souvlaki. The chicken was bone dry, the greek salad had NO dressing, the rice was aking to packaged Uncle Ben's and was mushy besides. the tzatziki tasted nothing like it should, the pita bread was instead garlic toast and came toasted only on one side. What a disapointment. The waitress, while somewhat snippy did take the meal off the bill (not that I ate my meal...I left hungry). She seemed personally offended that we complained and stated that "No one ever complains here". Over the next few days we heard many people agree that the food was lacking there. I did go a second time since all my friends were going there. I hesitantly ordered a burger and fries. It wasn't terrible. It wasn't great. I was hungry and I ate it. But overall, the Cariboo isn't the great place it once was...now it has good memories and not so good food. A disappointment to be sure."

"After being under new management I HIGHLY recommend going. Now the women are no longer expected to wear revealing clothes they dress in pants, not tiny skirts with heels and the service is phenomenal as well as the food. We went for lunch and they did not have the chicken fingers I ordered at that time so I ordered something different (jambalaya, AMAZING), the manager himself came out to apologise and offered a complimentary soup or salad because my food was fired up after everyone else at the table. Over a year ago I refused to enter the place now I enjoy going a couple times a month. He has completely changed the whole feel of this restaurant and I recommend it to any one who asks for a good place to eat in such a small town!"
