"Best prego’s on the island! We stopped in by chance and the service was superb. We loved our laid back trip to the island and the warm hospitality of the locals. Coral preta in ice cold glasses to start followed by the best pregos and...hand cut chips on the island. We rounded offf our snack with a bica (espresso) and made a few more visits during our two weeks on the island and were never disappointed."

"J'ai cru un bon moment que le snack Concord de Ribeira était le moins cher de notre périple à Madère.... je me trompais.Il faut d'abord savoir que la bière ou les boissons ont des remises en fonction des quantités débitées. C'est le cas de tous les bars ou restaurants bien placés. Quand vous vous rendez compte qu'on vous a "entubé", ce n’est pas agréable. C’est ce qui m'est arrivé en entrant dans ce petit bar situé dans une rue pavée de Ribeira. Sur le comptoir dans un présentoir officiel de CORAL (bière omniprésente à Madère), on peut voir voir les trois tailles de verres disponibles pour la bière. C'est là que j'ai eu un choc. La pinte est vendue à 1,80 euros c’est à dire que dans un bar à faible débit on vous vend la Coral 60% moins cher que la moyenne et je ne parle pas des établissements où elle dépasse les 5 euros. le demi est à 1,10 euros. Nous avons voulu goûter la liqueur du pays et le verre nous a été facturé à 1,60 euros.Ce bar mérite la place d'excellence pour la leçon qu'il nous donne et le fort signal qu'il nous envoie.Bravo à Luis son propriétaire pour la claque !"

"Hubby and i come to Madeira every year or 2 from California and this is where we make sure to always spend a few days and nights. Love the owner and his familia and mostly his Pescador poncha, well all the ponchas are good but...man o man they have done it right. Miss this place right now. We always get a few bottles to go back to the hotel room to sip on. See you guys soon from California."
