"Really nice bar and restaurant, mixed food. The bar area is very nicely managed and ‘owned’ by the bar keeper who greets everyone as they enter and makes them feel welcome. Small selection of local beers (I think 3 on tap July 2023) will suit some, but not all tastes. Outstanding whisky and bourbon selection and a solid wine list. Really comfortable and pleasant atmosphere too. Why only fours star then? Am I a miserable perfectionist? Errrr sort of, yes I am. The food we ordered included fried artichokes that were over seasoned, battered and deep fried completely obscuring the taste of the artichokes and pan fried fish that had stayed in the pan too long and become hard. That said, as we becoming frequent visitors to Rome we will be back!"

"I was told that this was a fabulous place from a related. obviously she must think that panda express is good to eat. I have read some online reviews about golden crown. some were good, but most were over a year old. I guess their quality has dropped. golden crown is now average, perhaps even under the average. I had a withdrawal for about $11,50 that buys an evening meal for one with their competitors. the main dish was 3/4 full. the rice came in a small polyfoam shell, not in a paper container. this is the first time I experienced this with Chinese acceptance. the taste was okay, but the flavors were weak, especially when you consider that I had ordered a traditional spicy dish. I had better eating on the buffet. I don't see how I revisit golden crown."
