"We stumbled upon this snack bar on our first visit to Santa Cruz many years ago. We now make sure we call in for a snack whenever we visit the village. We can always rely on this cafe to serve a tasty black scabbard sandwich in bolo do caco. The portions are very generous, good service by polite, attentive staff. Great place for watching the planes land as they fly directly over the building before touching down at the airport seconds later."

"Given how small Santa Cruz is this bar is tucked away but is well worth finding. (Turn left at Bilherita/Millenium bank). The décor of the bar is very smart and is possibly better than any other bar where décor is concerned. Paul behind the bar is very friendly and although his English is not fantastic he does try whereas Odelia (apologies for spelling) speaks very good English and is lovely to chat to. The bar has wifi, a pool table and a darts board so this will keep you occupied if you want a little more than a relaxing drink. On our first visit we had 4 glasses of wine and a bottle of coke between us and I did wonder if it was going to be a little pricey but did not have to worry as it was less than 7 euro. Really enjoyed my evenings here thank you."

"Rien de beauLa bouffe, on as la sensation qu est réchauffé et sans vie.Tres bien le "Prego", c'est une sandwich tres garnie (pain, beure-à-ail, steak, fromage, (avec ou sans œuf frit), salade, jambon et tomate fraîche, mayonese et ketchup) le sandwich par excelence du people madérien, Aieeeee zut... zut... zut... si on as l malheureuse idée de demande d ajouter l'œuf après... Vous risquée d avoir un sourire de joker forcée... Un service morbide et dépêche toi que j veux être seul."

"Go! Awesome meal. Had moqueca de marisco and moqueca de peixe. Fish and seafood in coconut sauce brazilian style. Great service. Music is a major plus! Brought me back home. We will return!!"
