"Basically a snack bar, and one of many eating places in the food hall of the Mall. Mid Eastern serves a delicious Falafel Platter at a very reasonable Rs170 (including all taxes). This is very filling and well worth the money. The only criticism I would make is that prices are plus tax etc.etc. so when they say Rs143 you end up paying Rs170. This is completely wrong, the price you actually pay should be the price on the board. As with most food halls, you queue up, pay the money and then go and get the food when it is ready, but the food is great"

"We were recommended Jimmy's Resto as a good place to have an authentic Indian cookery lesson by our guesthouse in Panjim. They were wrong. It was an EXCELLENT place to have a cookery lesson! We were made to feel very welcome from the off by our host and restaurant owner, Gautam. After being introduced to the diverse and friendly kitchen staff we tackled some staple Indian recipes such as Aloo Paneer Tikki and Chicken Curry. These are recipes you can take home and cook for friends and family to show off your new skills!The whole way through the chef provided expert guidance while our host ensured we understood each step and gave some background to the spices and techniques involved. It was not expected that we would be gourmet chefs from the beginning and plenty of help was offered if you needed it. One of the highlights was making our own Roti which is a fascinating experience to be involved with. After, we were able to eat the food we cooked for lunch along with some tasty extras which really added value to the day. Gautam and the staff even provided us with doggy bags or take our food back to the guesthouse for an evening meal! It was an exceptionally well run lesson in a friendly and accommodating environment! We couldn't recommend it more to fellow travellers."

"We had lunch here the last time we were in Goa. And since its an okay place, decided to have a take out from here again. We ordered fish thali and pomfret in Goan sauce.To be honest, the food is good. Nothing to write home about. But okay. But the staff, or at least the guy who waited us, was sooo uninterested, and looked bored. We waited for more than 45 minutes, after which he comes out with a packed fish thali. We asked him about the pomfret, and he said, we never ordered it. Hmm. Waited again. Not sure why it took so long to pack the thali. Everything is prepared beforehand. We left the place an hour later. Disappointed with the service."

"Bollywood Cafe is a decent family restaurant located in the Serene town of Sanvorderm, Goa. This cafe has comfortable sitting with a well stacked bar. The owner and staff are very friendly and the owner (Vishwas Naik - called Patraon in Konkani) himself attends to each and every table to ensure proper service to all customers. This restaurant is one of its kind in Goa for the sheer quality of food at very reasonable rates. The restaurants deploys all kind of delicacies from Indian, Chinese and local Goan specialities. The Fish preparation is wonderful and made from fresh fish available in the local market. No frozen meet is used in any preparation. It is amazing that his restaurant delivers special unique preparations which can compete with the Best of Best restaurants in metros. I would recommend visitors to really go and experience the culinary feast at BOLLYWOOD CAFE"
