"Had a meal on 13/2 and I just have to say that I thought the food was amazing and the service was excellent. Really friendly staff and Imogen was flawless in her awareness of our arrival for the meal. Thank you so much, worth every penny!"

"Was surprised by how good The Longshore was for Sunday lunch, and at very reasonable prices. Drinks were a good price as well meaning that an unexpected three course Sunday lunch was very reasonable and we couldn't eat it all. We were also pleasantly surprised but the quality of the food as well. Because it's a very popular place service was a little slow but that's probably because a large group turned up at the same time as us, with quite a few children as well as it is a family friendly venue. There are also midweek offers available and happy hour type drinks pricing on some weekdays so if you want to go when it's a little quieter you can get a real bargain. Overall, very pleased as am going to go again as it's a good alternative to Harvester or the Toby."

"I went into this pub and a big, seriously looking herr left me standing in the corner and eating cheese until I was quite sick. at this point came a woman who said she was called brunhilde came by, wit my mouth and then let me eat more. several kilos of it. it was probably the best night of my life."

"What an incredible transformation! to say this pub needed something dc is an understatement. the refurb was made beautiful, while the characteristics and character of this pub were preserved from the 16th century. in the last months we have eaten several times, and eating was consistently exceptional the sunday roasts are delicious, and the homemade burgers are now simply the best in the city. but what really makes the red lion superb is the personal; friendly, welcoming and attentive. we have visited a few times with our toddler daughter in the tow, and they always go out of the way to make us welcome. we feel very happy to live in the footsteps of such a fantastic family friendly pub. we look forward to many more pleasant visits in the coming years."

"I had a mixed salad bowl. almost all choices were vegan, including the koleslaw. Although there were bowls of huh and thunfish as protein options. you could say that eating was very high quality, super fresh and very tasty. they had an interesting looking selection of raw pressed cakes, including a date/oat seeers bar, although I did not pamper."
