"This is the worst example of a franchise store in the history of franchises. The pizza is stale and tasteless, the service is atrocious, the selection of drinks is nonexistent and the prices should be reserved for a 5 star dining establishment. We went with...family, nine people, and the place was empty. That might have been a bad sign. The waitress came to the table but seemed quite unable to take an order. The order was mixed up and we had to explain it a few times. They no longer carry draft beer and the selection of what they do carry is very limited. When the pizzas arrived they were dry, no toppings and cold. I know that Pizza Hut is closing many of their restaurants and just keeping the take out part of the business. Maybe it is time for this one to go too. We have been loyal customers since this franchise opened but all good things pass in time, Too bad, it use to be great."

"My husband has been coming to this pub since the 80’s (back when it was Calthumpians). We come here with our four daughters at least once a week or we order take out. We have used them to cater kids parties and play dates. We...do this to support our local businesses. Even when they were closed for Covid, we ordered takeout weekly. The servers are nice to us because they know us to be polite, never difficult and tip well for good service. However, we find that when we come in on days where the manager (elderly woman) is working there, she makes a point to treat us rudely. If she happens to be at the front, she scowls at us, manages to find us the smallest table in the worst location of the restaurant. I see how polite and friendly she is with other patrons which shows she is capable is being nice. However those patrons are only caucasians. This Sunday was perhaps the worst she’s ever been. We are a family of seven and willing to sit on two separate tables due to the Covid restrictions. She added the 7th chair angrily and then scolded my 7 year old daughter for wearing a plastic mask by stating they were not allowed to be worn. Who scolds a 7 year old about a mask? I went up to her and asked her why she needs to be so rude every time we come in. She told me she never remembers seeing us. I guess all south asians with four daughters who frequent the restaurant weekly look the same to her. I told her if people like me are not welcome to this restaurant, perhaps they should post a sign on the door when she’s there. The owner of the restaurant (gentleman with the moustache) knows me as the mom who would pick up wings and fries for my kids to drop off to school for lunch. I’m also the person who drove back and returned $20 when I realized I was given back too much change. During these times where Covid is closing indoor dining, you would think to be kind to customers who give you their patronage regardless of their ethnicity. This is just another example of how one person, given a position of authority, can ruin the hard work of owners and servers in a restaurant. This female manager is a cancer for this business. We won’t be coming back, nor will we order take out from you. I will no longer recommend this place to any of my friends. My money is good anywhere."

"This place was a quick and easy stop for me, while in the city a event. I needed a little to eat and chose this place as I saw that they had bruschetta (a weak of me) on the menu. that said while the presentation of. the food was great it was bland, needed more garlic and seasoned safe. but the brot was good. I also got a seat quickly and the service was nice. my only other thing would be that it felt slightly melted and dirty (they needed to dust their windows, wash their curtains and some of the wood on the walls safely down."

"Markham Village was recommended for a place for dinner. The village is casual with several restaurants offering patio dining. I walked the street reviewing menus and offerings. I decided to try Liberty, which has limited offerings (burgers and wings). I ordered the Tuesday special burger and beer. The beer hit the spot. The burger and fries were tasty and worked as well. I ate on the patio with a couple other guests. Inside is small and a little cramped. Not inviting for eating, but OK for drinking. The waitress was talkative and helpful when I asked questions about the village. Prices are a little high, considering this is basic food, but the experience was enjoyable."
