"If you are travelling north or south on the this is a really good option for an overnight stay, between Limoges and Brive. Comfortable, spacious rooms with air conditioning. Great local food, delicious and beautifully presented. The regional menu at for courses...is good value. Uzerche is a beautiful small fortified historic town to walk around, built inside a meander on the river Vézère. Follow the interpretative signs. Visit the new developments at the old paper mill (La Papeterie), where there is a local brewery (reopening soon after refurbishment), an excellent bookshop/salon de thé which also serves local beer and a bridge to follow across the river to a path leading up to the old town. Uzerche is a dynamic small town, with a lot of cultural events through the year."

"We were staying at the hotel and it made sense to eat here, and settled down to a table on the terrace with a good view. The food was good, starting with foie gras which unusually didn't carry a supplement it was quite...small though. Main course burgers, which were pretty good a sneaky course of cheese before desert. Service was good, our waitress was chatty, and spoke very good English. She recommended a Correze wine Mille et une Pierres which was good value and very drinkable."

"Yesterday, a first for us and frankly we recommend. Pizzas and hamburgers are frankly delicious and hearty. to report on the reception and kindness of the team. we will return quickly (inhabit 15 km from there). Come find out you'll be seduced."
