"Good evening during the nights of vence despite the crowd. we ate well (my husband recommends the roasted pillow for amateurs) with a friendly service. the wine bottle was nice at a very correct price, and our regularly filled water carafe without having to ask. living in the region we have just booked for a new evening place under the sign of conviviality. eric and valerie"

"I had heard quite some positive things about the place. We ate outside in the courtyard on a pleasant summer evening. We had some of their main dishes (various cold cuts, and blood pudding) which were just OK but expensive for what you get. We had several other tapas- Padron, Paella, Brouillade, Tempura, Txistorra, mushroom (the only one that was very good), manchego, tocino- all were just average and averaging 8 euros per plate. Nice service."

"We went there in the morning, to make a reservation for dinner. They told us that OK, no problem. When we got there at night, we waited half an hour, called the restaurant but they never showed up and the place was closed... so we...went to the restaurant next door, called Michel Ange (which was a very nice surprise)."

"We found this restaurant when we stayed in Vence back in 2012 and revisited in 2013. The owner remembered us this year and yet again gave us the wonderful hospitality that we had the year previously. The menu is a little limited but this only adds to the perfectly cooked food as the chef can concentrate on providing the best rather than having to worry about cooking too many dishes. This restaurant was always busy morning, noon and night and I would always go back and recommend to friends and family. Lovely place, great ambience, fantastic service and an owner with his finger firmly on the pulse to ensure that all his clientele are happy and will return time after time."

"We have booked for adults and children for dinner in the casual terrace restaurant. Nowhere on the website of the hotel or during booking we were told that shorts were not accepted. we came for our reservation and yes, it is a very elegant being and a beautiful environment, but it is the south of france and I was dressed in smart dress shorts, a dress hemd (not tea shirt or polo etc). and a few loafers. very smart casual summer dress. the staff gave us a funny look and finally the manager said we couldn't sit because I wore shorts. we have pointed out another table, but the manager said that this was a child, he saw as a young adult and certainly not a young young boy. a real double standard. I appreciate the desire for a strict dress code in tell her michelin rated restaurant. but in a casual environment outside at a very hot evening it seemed completely inappropriate. especially when my attire was the most clever end of the spectrum and let her feed another gast in shorts right in front of us. in the south france there are still many places. avoid them."

"We have eaten several times here in the past. do not live too far. had a hamburger, moules marinières, salat de chevre, all in order, but under standards from the previous years. many other options in vence. we will not be back, at least for one."
