"Whenever I’m in Richmond this place is one of my favourites to stop by. Eat in or dine out. Eating in they have an large menu which you can take out as well. We had bbq pork chow mein, stir fry beef noodle, squid and...fried fish with spicy salt and sweet and sour pork. Portions were quite large and came to the table pretty quick. Usually for take out I get the half and half on rice which is your choice of 2 bbq items over rice. I get the bbq duck and the roast pork. The pork always has that perfect fat and crispy skin ratio and the juices from the delicious duck on the rice makes it a perfect combination."

"Admittedly BBQ Master serves one of the better BBQ pork ( siew yoke) in Vancouver. With the increase of mainland Chinese going to this small hole in the wall restaurant in the basement carpark, they have increased their pricing twice in a year. Now a serving of BBQ pork ( 2 selections) on rice and 1 piece of broccoli is C$ 9.50 or C$9.95 on a paper plate. Listen food business is a hard business. And I can see that the next increase to beyond C$ 10 for the same dish will take place this year. Is this gouging?"

"We were following the progress of this brand new restaurant and were hopeful that we'd discover a new Chinese restaurant on the west side of Richmond. We decided upon dim sum as our premier visit. The restaurant was very well appointed, the service was mediocre and the food just a bare pass. The most discouraging factor was that this restaurant has overpriced itself charging almost double of what other Chinese restaurants charge (i.e. just under $9 for har gow.........insanity)"

"We made reservations after the opening hours, so it wasn't too busy when we were there. the place was quickly filled up and I could soon find out why. after ordering various dishes the tee arrived and then within minutes were the first. our dishes available. within a few minutes after that, all our dishes we had ordered were ready and waiting for us for the table. the service was fast and the waiter who served us was friendly enough. the bus boys were also fast to remove all the plates that were emptied as we made our way through the dishes. my friend has made the order, since I never know the names of what I eat, except through. since most customers appeared as Asian, it did not surprise me that our waiter needed another person who spoke better English to process our payment at the end of the meal (we tried to tell them that they share the bill, but finally gave up explaining and putting everything on a credit card). a wonderful meal that I will definitely return for."

"Master Hung is very busy on Friday, Saturday and Sunday so make a reservation if you can get one otherwise you'll be eating very early or very late. The restaurant isn't very big but it is extremely busy...picture people waiting outside for up to an...hour. For dinner, you can order a la carte or you can choose a few dishes for a set price. The dinner sets come with homestyle soup and dessert. Lunch is good with the rice dishes, noodles, congee, etc to choose from. I've been there numerous times and service is pretty good except for once when it got crazy busy and the food took a while to get served...hard to get the attention of the servers (I think there were only 3). Overall, good restaurant and yummy food."
