"The Standard has a great happy hour. On Wednesday night the half price burgers which are very good attract a big crowd. Unfortunately due to the large number of orders being submitted concurrently, the kitchen, according to our waiter, was overwhelmed. We ordered onion soup and calamari as appetizers and burgers as our entree. We did not have a long wait for our food but instead of getting the appetizers first, all of our food was delivered at the same time. As a result the meal was not as enjoyable as it could have been because burgers got cold for those who ordered soup. I think our waiter could have done a better job controlling and monitoring order submissions."

"I had been here before, and that was why I choose it for a birthday celebration..and unfortunately I was disappointed in a couple of things, but mostly the noise level. As I approached the restaurant I could hear the loud noise across the parking lot...from the outside area. I went inside and requested an area that might be a little quieter. The hostess mentioned that even though I was on time for my reservation I would have to wait . When they did seat us, they walked us past at least 5-6 empty tables to a booth next to the noisy kitchen. When I mentioned something she said this was their “best” ..our service was sporadic. One of us ordered sea bass which we don’t think actually was. Not running back."
