"That was the BEST NEAPOLITAN PIZZA, which I have ever had outside Europe. The ingredients were fresh to die the sauce, we could not get enough of the crust, thin and chew and so good!!! I'm so glad to have found this place! Best pizza I had so far in Chicago! The service was fantastic, I can't wait to go back!"

"The big guy with glasses always got some sort of attitude when it’s busy and I find him quite rude… I feel attacked and uncomfortable to be honest, it’s either him the owner son or the other Puerto Rican chubby dude The pizza is overall okay when it’s fresh depending who attends you.. Anyone can agree horrible customer service just discourages people from coming into the restaurant.. especially for me since I have social anxiety… I can do with out the nasty UNNECESSARY attitude…"

"Came here randomly before going to the movies. The green curry is usually my go-to. I got the green curry with tofu. I did ask for less tofu in my dish because I try to limit my soy product but I was beyond pleased with the dish. My date got a spicy rice (I think the basil fried rice) it was yummy. I really love the plants and the art that they have. I would definitely go back"

"Can't recommend this place enough truly the greatest vegan pizza and vegan meatballs I've ever had. Pasta and sauce were really good too! They even offered vegan parm when offering my partner regular parm : the staff were so so sweet, the energy and atmosphere were incredible, and the prices were very reasonable considering the area. Love love love this place."

"Eating pizza shouldn’t be some sort of mysterious experience. We’ve all ordered and eaten pies from shops around our neighborhoods, you place an order and 20-30 minutes later you can pick up your pizza. Lucali doesn’t work like that! I’ve lined up before, for many things in fact, at the DMV or the airport. The lining up doesn’t bother me, it’s the nebulous feeling of not knowing when you’ll get your pie. Whether you’re trying to get a table or order for take out their wait time is a bit beyond the reasonable expectations of a pizza shop. I went the other day, made “the line” by 4:00pm, talked to the hostess by 4:15 and couldn’t snag a table till well after 9 or pick up a pie till around 8. Any pizza shop worth its weight in cheese should be able to turn out pies at a quicker pace. It’s a GIMMICK, they say hunger is the best spice, this must be the case for a vast majority of those who have eaten here and have anointed this place the best in NYC. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great pie. The crust is phenomenal, get the extra sauce on the side and submerge every crust into that sauce, sprinkle some extra shredded cheese on top and you have one of the best bites. It’s a great pie with great cheese and good toppings, but not even top 5 in NYC. Not worth the guessing game of when you’ll eat or if you’ll eat."
