"Great food for the price, wings specials are excellent, decent size wings and good flavours. I fell like the price of drinks are higher because they charge so little for food so this is not my first choice for just a drink. Would be nice to have more clarity on drink sizes?"

"We ate here twice while staying in the Hampton Inn. Zachary's is on the ground floor of the same building. It is a Bar / Restaurant with several wide screen TVs mounted so patrons can watch sport while dining. The TVs are not loud so are not obtrusive on one's dining.Staff are very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Their service was excellent.The quality of meals is very good and the price is reasonable."

"Read lots of great reviews for this location and the pic on their site is nowhere near what we received. Wish I had taken a pic to submit. Bought a 2 for 1 voucher from a site. As soon as we walked in, didn't find it very appealing. Only 1 other customer in there on Sat. Afternoon. Had the Canuck Burger which was so overcooked it was dry and chargrilled burnt. Should have returned it and asked for another one, but didn't want to have to sit longer than we had to in the unpleasant smelly seating area than necessary. Will definitely not be back and can't recommend it."

"Yummy. Wow, I tried the fried chicken and waffles...AMAZING! A few of my friends have told me to try this place out for the fried chicken and waffle and they were right! Great service great atmosphere and food amazing! Will be back"

"Amazing artichoke sandwich with coleslaw and eggplant “bacon” and the perfect toasted ciabatta bread. I’m just going to give some pointers for what I think would be better but I’m still giving 5-stars because it was amazing. The fries with the sandwich were a bit old but those type fries are hard to keep fresh. Maybe try a different brand. The salad items were a bit stringy maybe try softer greens. The pesto fettuccine tasted great but I was expecting flat long white noodles with the sauce and accented with fresh basil would have been lovely. The water was fresh and glasses and cutlery etc looked very clean. The table was tacky/sticky, I think it is because the varnish doesn’t clean very well. You could consider table clothes. The service was great. I will be back to try more items!"

"Went on a Groupon, partly because Fatburger in Macau (China), only place I've ever had Fatburger, is great. So I hoped FB in Vancouver would be as good. Unfortunately not so. Burger was very good, although it completely fell apart in my hands into a soggy mess. Fries were the big letdown. The same boring, bland, frozen fries you get everywhere. Absolutely nothing special about them, and they look nothing like the skin-on crispy friesIn their advertising. Or false advertisingI should say. Staff was friendly, location was clean. Will not go back. I can get crappy fries all over town. No need to go out of my way to find them."

"Ovaltine Cafe is a trip back to time and I love the trip. Do not expect an extraordinary culinary experience here, but with the expectations in check-cafee and breakfast are just good. Service in my experience was always very good and I always type generous... to show my appreciation and since the regular clientele from this area do not have the money to splash around, I feel that someone working here could use a good tip. Over the years, the Ovaltine Cafe has been used as a set location for so many TV shows and movies. Recently I watched The Man at High Castle and they used the Ovaltine Cafe and The Smile Diner, another old guilt. It was tried to bring the cafe to the hipster area, but the ovaltine remains only the comfortable old self. I'd be very sad if it ever goes away. Don't let the street population throw you away. Many drug addicts and homeless people in the area/on the streets, but I have lived in the area for over 30 years and never had a problem. Just remember that this is the poorest part of the city and many levels of government have misunderstood the area, basically with decades of refusal and renewal and the creation of a ghetto by the concentration of social housing in the neighborhood."
