"I was here about 3 months ago. I only came back because my 2 sons wanted to try it and that’s why I rated it 3 stars. Otherwise, I would have rated it 2 stars. Last time the steak was tough and again it was tough. The baked ham was too salty and had some fat in it. the pot roast was over cooked. The dirty rice had so little ground beef, I thought it was seasoned rice, until I saw the little sign above it. The chicken and dumplings weren’t good. The ice cream machine was out of order. I seem to remember the last time I was there, it was out of order, but I’m not sure. The fudge was good and the chocolate pie okay and and the pecan pie was good. The fried chicken was good. To be fair my sons enjoyed all but the steak one son did say the steak was kind of tough . At least get some better quality steak if you’re going to include it in your commercials and put a reasonable amount of ground beef in the dirty rice."

"Open til 9? Ha! 8:30pm and we were just told they already cleaned the kitchen and wouldnt serve us, even for take-out. The good news for the owners is that your employees do an excellent job putting all the chairs up, cleaning the kitchen, and making sure no one gets served too close to closing time! And locked the door behind us as we walked out. Nice move!"
