"Wait time for food was over 30 minutes after ordering. The food was Luke warm at best when it got to the table. The service was mediocre. "After a Memorial Service we googled restaurants near us and 1st Street Grill in Childersburg popped up, so we decided to check it out. And really glad we did, it is basically a soul food restaurant, for starters we had fried green tomatoes and a couple of blooming onions both were fried to perfection absolutely some of the best I've had. For dinner I had the 10 piece breaded wings with 2 sides fried okra and cajun corn, the fried okra was homemade not the frozen breaded version and fried up perfectly, and the Cajun corn was very good. Patty had the special, fried chicken leg and wing, we couldn't have cooked them up any better. For dessert we split a piece of Key Lime Cake, man was that good. There were 13 of us in the group and everybody had different items and nobody was disappointed. The young ladies working there are very attentive and have a lot of personality, super friendly. We will definitely be back."
