"Got Q?!. I stopped in to check out a new BBQ joint in Choctaw today Simmons BBQ Shack. It 's in the old Subway location in Choctaw Plaza (Subway/Pizza Hut now in old Braum 's bldg . It was some pretty good Q! It 's a small place so great for takeout, but you can also eat in (about 15 20 seats . The owner was very friendly and I let him know I was from Memphis and a BBQ afficionado, so he had me sample some of his wares before I ordered! While I was eating, he also brought me a rib (gratis just because he wanted me to taste it! I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and I love that you can add slaw (Memphis style! to any sandwich for just a small charge. The baked beans had a little onions beef in 'em and were really tasty with a little kick. His ribs are pork, which are the only kind we eat in the South! He didn 't have smoked sausage on the menu yet just hot links, but those were very tasty and not too spicy. His sauce is Head Country, not homemade, but at least he picked a good Okie sauce! He said he preferred to concentrate on the quality of the meat. No french fries or fried okra, but there are several yummy looking dessert options maybe next time! Prices are reasonable"

"It is good that they could remain open until 2020 for pickup. Never disappointed. Do not overload vegetables in meat dishes like some places. Your buffet is now reopened with gloves, hand-sanitary and disposable use plates as sanitary measures. Some stands have been removed to ensure the conflict between buffet customers."
