"We went there for a drink and chat with in laws. There was no atmosphere, music stopped playing. It was you had to go to the counter to order and when you pay. They had all the different drinks under the sun, however, it would have been nicer to have waitress service I feel."

"Ashvale Ellon is where you go to be abused. Been a few times for a fish supper. Foods passable but don’t try any small talk with lady manager. My big. mistake. Id heard her before going off at staff or other customers but it was always busy. But I figured It was a quiet Sunday night no one else around why not make make a pleasant conversation. Nearly got my head bitten off . It was quite entertaining. I would say some thing nice and she would retort in sarcasm or words used to replace expletives. Fig was used a couple of times.. Anyway. I can buy chips in places where the staff are much more pleasant, Cultured even. So I won’t bother going back..."

"We were last here in 2019 and thought it was a lovely and cosy place. Definitely a disappointment today. The staff didn’t make us feel welcome at all and the service in general wasn’t great. The food was edible, but the immensely over boiled carrot and neep, with hard, squeaky green beans was a struggle. Sadly we won’t be back."
