"After a pretty ropey food experience in a Bob and Bert's a few years ago I have been avoiding them, but was actually quite impressed with the vegan hotdog with curry sauce and fried onions in the Portrush one. There was a couple of options, standard baked potato with beans and I think a panini. Updated from previous review on 2023-02-19"

"When visiting friends in Crumlin we visited this wonderful hotel for late lunch. We have been before for Sunday carvery but this time chose the bar. We were a party of 6 including a vegan. As an ex Maitre d' I notice lots of plusses. There were lots of smart young attentive staff who were constantly on the move removing empty glasses etc. The older men supervisors made conversation and got the vegan meal spot on though I don't think it was on the menu! and served in a filo? Basket. I had the seared pork fillet with pickled cabbage and lyonnaise potatoes. My friend had scampi (When I was a waiter 50 year's ago a portion was 8 pieces) he had at least 16 that I counted. My wife loved the roast beef. AND the plates were hot, always a good sign. I would thoroughly recommend this excellent establishment. A very high standard of training, well done."

"Without a doubt was the best chippy in the town, County and Ireland. It was the community hub for anyone who appreciated high quality fast food. Their Goujan meal with house sauce and stuffing has been the beacon of light for many people within the town, with many stating it was what got them through the week. This chippy brought families closer together, couples stronger and sparked new friendships. Its a shame that all we have left now is waves, which we all know doesn't compare.
