"Tree Eighty3 is a cute little spot tucked away in an arcade. It has a few seating options. The brekky is also versatile. My friend and I opted for the simple eggs and bacon roll which you can have with any type of bread. I had mine with sourdough. It was yummy and very filling! Wouldn't mind coming back to try a few other bits and pieces."

"Thanks for the chief owner. The one you proposed is so fabulous! It will definitely be our regular choice! Thank you for the generous offer and wonderful suggestions! The pig slaughter is the best I ever had. I'm sorry I forgot the name. But I'll upload the photos! Thanks for the wonderful food again. 5 stars without doubt!"

"The Alley Bar & Grill is located in the Pacific Suites Canberra and many of it's clientele are guests staying at the apartments above, although you don't have to be a hotel guest to dine here.We visited four times during our stay in Canberra (three breakfasts and one dinner).Breakfast is a buffet that includes fruits, yoghurts, cereals, pastries, toast plus bacon, sausages, mushrooms, baked beans, scrambled eggs and hash browns. There is also a coffee machine and juices and water available. The food was of a good standard although during busy times, there was a small delay before empty bain-marie's were replaced. There were only two wait staff rostered on the mornings we visited which wasn't enough during busy periods. We were very happy with the quality of the food we had at dinner and the servings were huge. Unfortunately we found the menu a little poorly written. The Philly Cheese burger made no mention of what type of meat it was (it was beef), and the Butternut Pumpkin Ravioli was just listed as Butternut Pumpkin which meant we had to ask what it was. The people on the table next to us were just as confused so maybe this is something that could be looked at. Once again, for most of the night there was only one waiter on (the other was busy delivering room service orders), so service was quite slow at times. Upon leaving we were disappointed that the free drink and dessert that were supposed to be included as part of our child's kids meal deal had been billed to our account separately. Fortunately this was rectified without issue.I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here if I wasn't a hotel guest, but The Alley is a great addition to the apartments and caters for all ages and tastes adequately."

"This place brought out two of my worst pet peeves. Pet peeve #1: people in hospitality who don't smile or generally don't appear to want to have to interact with other humans. Get a different job. Pet peeve #2: eateries scrimping on decent cutlery (i.e. knives that don't cut, and forks that bend under barely any force).

So we entered the establishment and stood around like idiots for 2 mins whilst the staff looked through us, constantly walking past us. We got sick of waiting so helped ourselves to a table and menus. This would be understandable if the place was particularly busy, but it wasn't. Plenty of free tables, tons of staff. No queue at the door.

Ordered our food, tried to cut my sourdough bread and struggled epically, as the knife had the cutting power of a pair of those children's safety scissors. Worse yet, the fork just bent under the slightest of pressure. Might sound like a petty qualm, but it really does impact your experience when your food comes flying off the plate, and you keep having to stop and bend your fork back into shape.

All of this would be forgiven if the food was exceptional, but it wasn't. It was okay. This would also be fine, if the prices reflected the value offering of the entire experience. But they don't. It was costly for a meal that would fill anyone with a decent appetite.

Go to Elk and Pea, down the road and enjoy a vastly superior dining experience"

"Nice hipster-esque cafe hidden in the loading zone at Melbourne building. Great place for breakfast or lunch with a very Italian inspired menu, even though it's changed a bit since it first started. I recommend the taleggio and mushroom omelette with is just bursting with flavour."

"We have always enjoyed both lunch, where the lunch boxes are very tasty and good value, and dinner where the a la carte menu is terrific. Today we had the tempura udon soup and the chicken Katsu lunch boxes and both were great. The udon soup is a winter special and it was great. Highly recommend it.We love this restaurant and think that the lunch boxes are very good value."

"This is a great choice for a contemporary Indian meal in Canberra. Situated in Lonsdale Street, Braddon in a hideaway location at the back of a building Darbar shines for it's food.We enjoyed the Chef's Special salmon entree, a truly delicious chicken biryani and the prawns and scallops. The wine list was good and the service acceptable if a little slow."
