"I recently visited the nickel kitchen and bar for my birthday, the service, food and staff were wonderful. The location is good, decor is crisp and restaurant is maintained to a high level, the wait staff are knowledgable and helpful. Food is plentiful with good portion sizes, dessert is a must but I would definitely recommend sharing!!"

"I was given a gift voucher and decided to do breakfast first followed by lunch or dinner another time. The breakfast menu wasn't extensive though had a nice range of options. I decided on the braised beans and my husband had the omelette. Staff were friendly and the service was quick. Nice coffee too. Our meals were tasty... proportions were generous. The braised beans were nice for something different. The atmosphere is airy and comfortable. Definitely worth a visit."

"Friendly service and quick food preparation, but my Beef Street Burrito from the Burrito Shack wasn't very pleasant The Burrito consisted of Beef, Black Beans, Cheese, Rice and Salsa wrapped in a Flour Tortilla. The Beef was nice and tender, but lacked flavor. The black beans were wet and the cheese didn't melt, so every bite was cold in the middle. Similarly, the cold Salsa was applied directly to the rice making it cool and wet. seconds in a sandwich press would have improved this burrito immeasurably, but wouldn't have addressed the flavor issue. "How disappointing! I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was far from it. The sauce was watery, the portion was tiny and for the price I paid, definitely not worth it. I’m happy to revisit and try it something else on the menu but this was a massive let down."

"Maybe merlo UQ is too fantastic , compared with UQ merlo bar Toowong one is too slow and not that tasty with coffee. Usually in uni I only need to wait a coffee for 3 min after 10 people. But here only 3 people before me I still need to wait for 8-10 minutes with not tasty one. Why?!"
