"Not always busy during the posted hours and has a limited menu. No blond beans and no cold brewery. Barista was friendly and ingenious. Free Wifi is reliable, but only 5 megabits down; better than the 4g reception there."

"We happened upon this place during a car breakdown and couldn’t have asked for a better place to be stranded. The staff was very friendly! The food was great! We got the chicken quesadillas and loved it. They even have a drive thru so you don’t have to get out of the car. Be patient because it’s not fast food, but great food! Will definitely be going back!"

"Flavor. None. Chicken. Drier than an 80 yr old woman that had been laying out in the sun her whole life. Talking about a catchers mitt. I could have made a hand bag that Prada would have been jealous of with just the skin of that thigh. Halloween is coming up so I'm going to save the skin so my kid can be leather face. Felt like a buzzard picking at a 30 day old corpse. We call that jerky around here. I've got an 8 year old built like a line backer would look like a child from Ethiopia if this was our only source of food. I know they don't cook food like this at home. Smdh so much for a quick lunch."

"I had a great time. It was a whole house when I showed up, but they were quick to sit me and bring me my food. My waiter Liz was the best. She was nice and friendly. The food was fresh and hot and the house made tortillas. I recommend this place to anyone looking for homemade food."

"Having lived in Kyle for a few months while our house was being constructed in San Marcos, we always saw Milt 's Pit BBQ whenever we drive along Center Street on our way to our townhouse rental. We always planned on stopping by to check it out, especially after we struck up a conversation with a couple from Austin while we were at the Design Center who spoke highly of their experience there. It wasn 't until after we 've actually moved to another short term rental in New Braunfels did we stop by and had a late lunch at Milt 's after checking something out for the new house at Home Depot. Parking along Center Street can be troublesome (especially having to back out of those parking spaces when there 's a bit of traffic) so we made it a point to park across the street around the park. At Milt 's you place your order at the counter, get seated and wait for your food. Our server was really friendly and very informative which helped us with our choices My wife, who earlier wanted some baked potato, ordered the BBQ Spud and I tried their Milt 's 2 Meat BBQ plate with the moist brisket and the Lockhart sausage served with BBQ beans and potato salad. My wife liked her baked potato. It had lots of cheese, pulled pork and sour cream and all those flavors worked for her. My brisket was good but thought the sausage was a bit too soggy , if that is an appropriate term to use for sausage that 's not dry enough and lacking the snap in its casing. Ample juices were oozing from the sausage as I try to cut into it. I suppose the flavor was decent enough but prefer a drier sausage for my taste. Both the BBQ beans and potato salad were very good. Lunch for 2 came out to just under $26 with tip and military discount."
