"We ate here twice during a weeks stay in Alte. On both nights, the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The first time we ate, there was a few other people eating and the experience was a very pleasant one. The second time, it was a lot busier and the staff seemed completely overwhelmed. We arrived at 9.45 and was told the kitchen closed at 10pm and only certain dishes were available. There was no ice for the drinks, the couvert came out with no pate or carrots but we were charged the same price. There was only 2 options for dessert left. We felt like the staff just wanted us to finish up so they could get the tables laid for breakfast. A pity because our first experience was very positive."

"Portugal, in special Algarve is getting worse on the service. I kindly ask the lady, if they re an alternative for milk due i have lactose tolerance. And she rudely say it no and later one i asked for mayonnaise for the toast sandwich and she rudly said to me that i should ask before and what i need for. What a joke, there are plenty coffee s here and i will never come back here. 5 starts for the server that went to the table. But the women staff the takes your ordee (owner), what a rude lady."

"We stopped in looking for local cuisine and liked the menu offerings. Because of the time difference we were super early for dinner. The owner was actually the one who seated us, got our wine, took our order and offered suggestions on the menu. As the staff came in they took over for him, but he was a delight. We began with olives and calimari. My husband had an exquisite sea bass with rice and beans. My daughter in law and I both chose the salmon with salad and fries. The last dish ordered was a meat mix. That last dish was a little disappointing, but all of the rest of the evening was perfect. We shared a liter or two of very nice house, red wine. Open air seating, was a perfect temperature to eat out. Pleasant staff, wonderful food and attentive service! It pays to go a little early!"
