"I love sweets! I love halo halo, but I don't like to borrow so that teresitas halo halo has become a fave. the ice is well broken. it consists mainly of macapuno, sweet banana, longka and leche flan. they can enjoy a job for p90 or get their special halo halo for p105 as it serves more longka up with the huge piece of leche flan. also try their pansit malabon and other offers."

"Quick stop at Starbucks while waiting for a friend for lunch. Although two Starbucks branches are directly opposite each other, this particular branch receives more visitors than the other.

I got my usual white chocolate mocha and it lived up to expectations. While standing in line, I noticed that Starbucks Reserve is now offering French macarons at Php 65 each. I think it's exclusive to reserve only and possibly limited edition. I have the flavors of lemon and salted butter caramel. When it was served I was so surprised how small it was! Haha! The lemon flavored one was sweet. I searched for the spicy taste, but the sweetness overwhelmed him. The salted butter caramel was sweet too. The taste that stood out was the butter and not the caramel or salted caramel."

"This is your typical Starbucks. Over priced no coffee in the coffee kind of place. But we are all attracted to the friendly and bright service and a safe comfortable place to sit while we sip our weak coffee.

Starbucks never fails and is always the same and reliable."

"More than just pastries ...

St. Marc's is known for its chococro and offers a variety of dishes including sundaes, pastries, pastas and even burgers. They also have some great drinks that I've enjoyed before ... the only thing is that I don't appreciate when the store doesn't offer soy or low fat milk options; as is the case with St. Marc. Sorry ... I am lactose intolerant so my tummy is not very happy with the lack of options.

Tired of meeting, I decided to have lunch at this cafe. I finally decided to try their Menchi Katsu Burger ... I drank my Matcha Latte while waiting for the staff to prepare the burger. It was quite a long wait but I didn't mind. I risked the Matcha Latte because I was longing for something hot because of the rainy weather ... My stomach wasn't so happy after that.

I took the burger from the counter (with my tuna potato danish that I had wrapped to take away). It's a good size burger with a decent amount of fries - suitable for a rather hungry person. I thought the burger was okay, I wish the patty had more flavor. There was a lack of seasoning but I liked the crunch. The sauce in between kept it from getting too dry. My bad one, but it didn't work with the Matcha Latte, ooops! ???? Fries lacked the seasoning too, but the ketchup helped a lot.

Self service but wish they had cleaned the tables more thoroughly ... some of the tables were a little sticky ...

P.S.
I haven't tried my Danish yet! Ordering for the first time."

"I just had to make a quick stop at Yardstick, a third wave coffee house that has won the hearts of many, not just Makati workers and residents. I am seldom in the area because of its high density which always causes traffic chaos.

The place is very spacious, high ceiling with a modern industrial look. Few places in the area could also remind you of a warehouse. Interestingly, the waiters wear casual clothes like regular customers, which might confuse this part. I was when a stranger helped me out of the blue.

My friend and I shared 9 ounces. Cafe latte with two teaspoons of muscovado sugar. Their beans were strikingly strong and their natural sweetness still felt very strong. My valid complaint here was temperature. It was pretty cold. Oh and they only have whole milk, what a shame.

The purple yam waffle was pretty shocking. The look was pretty instagramable, but its waffle looked nothing like what I was expecting. I thought they'll serve me purple yummy ... read more "

"The first Toby's Estate branch (correct me if I'm wrong) and probably the best one. Every time I visit this branch, it gives me this homey vibe. I usually stay here around 2-3 hours because it's just so chill and cozy that I'm lazy to actually leave. It's a perfect place to study even tho it's always busy. Pair it up their awesome coffee and their famous buckys!"

"Note: Late Review

I've read Noli Me Tangere in high school. I barely remember the story, some of the characters escaped my memory except for three. Ze well known love team Philippine Literature - Ibarra and Maria Clara and the Spanish Friar who raised hell over dinner due to a bad chicken part. Kids, that's Padre Damaso.

Nope, i aint writing a book review. I am gonna spill the beans on the namesake of Padre Damaso in restaurant form.

Restaurante Pia Y Damaso. I'll be honest this joint intimidates me for some reason. I feel like a high school kid again. My fear is that the servers would ask me Noli related questions or there is a secret password before one can enter.

Had dinner here with Grams and my uncle visiting from Canada. We ordered a shitload of stuff, all i remember is Kapitan Tiago's Kare Kare and Tubig ni Maria Clara.

Dibs for creative names for the dishes. They are staying true to the Noli theme. Kare Kare - native stew made with peanut sauce, beef tripe, tail and meat, served with bagoong shrimp paste on the side. I have always liked this homegrown stew. Damaso's version is not as good as the others I've tried though (Kanin Klub's seafood kare kare). Dont get me wrong, the meat is cooked well, it lacks the peanut flavor that I'm looking for. The shrimp paste saves the day.

Tubig ni Maria Clara. Fresh cucumber juice, ginger and citrus water. Light and refreshing. Do not let your fear of ginger hinder your from trying this, no traces of ginger flavor.

Overall, my Damaso experience is okay, not remarkable, their price is a lil steep compared with the other restaurants. One can get an awesome kare kare without coughing out too much dough."
