"We had lunch at O Alcaide. Recommendation was a store clerk while were in Obidos for the day. We were the first patrons and got a table on the small patio which gave us a view of Obidos. Our lunch was great. We had salads...which were fresh and then we split the grilled lamb chops which was served with freshly cooked green beans and rice. Very tasty and perfect portion. Good portion of wine and cold glass of beer. Definitely would recommend this restaurant for a honest home cooked meal."

"Black pasta with garnels was excellent - many garnels, light tomato sauce. price higher than usual pasta, but generous amount garnel. fish soup was also good. I liked the court under the name bacalau president five garnel and no traces of fish. the server are very eager to help, but very often in the Rong way with broth plates while they still have pieces brot on them, do not give an additional plate for a hot plate from the often, or share an salat. only a waiter spoke in this night English. two female server were therefore little help without him. By the way, one of the Femail waiters had their long haare hanging on the front (via the teller with food), which in many other restaurants considered careless. the interior of this small coastal town is very fresh, modern and clean. great view of the lagune and foz darelho on the opposite side."

"This is an authentic local restaurant - albeit that half the diners are probably tourists. Clean simple decor, welcoming service, a few dishes of the day to supplement a small menu and the food hearty, delicious and plentiful. My dish of pork cheeks, the secret pork and the fried fish were all fresh, well seasoned and well cooked. They were accompanied by fresh salads, potatoes, chips and green beans. Those who managed to find room loved the baked apples for desert. And.. the whole meal for 6 people, less than 70€. Amazing!!!"
