"The staff was very friendly. But I was a bit disappointed with the food. Porterhouse Steak had a lot of fat. And the fried pimples left much to wish. They weren't even crunchy and were too fat"

"Just an excellent experience. Large, traditional South House Cook. Friendly, pleasant staff. Which is best with rural tennessee. Both breakfast and lunch offer excellent food. We eat there"

"The only good thing that I tasted from the menu was the Cauliflower Bites. It was seasoned well and the sauce was good! The Fries were way too salty and the fish was not good. The Kids Mac N' Cheese was terrible! My nephew got a belly ache after eating it and it looked like Kraft Mac and Cheese. The Strawberry Lemonade for the price should have been in a larger glass, instead it was in a small plastic cup. The children enjoyed their Sno Globe drinks. The service was not good. Had no idea was my hostess name was, although she was helpful. No body came to clear the table until I spoke to someone. Our Waitress was awful! My daugther asked for a cup to take her drink home and the waitress made her walk with her to get a plastic cup when she could have just brought the cup to the table. The Woman's Bathroom was clean. Overall, my daughter enjoyed playing with her family and friends on her birthday, but the food and service need improvement."

"Sarris Cafe is a nice little family business. It is a meat and three with Greek flair! Sarris is furnished cafeteria style; You go and order your food. Various specialties are carried out daily. The restaurant owners are tech savvy, and specials are published every day on Facebook. The people who put our food were incredibly warm and beautiful. They gave my father an extra maize muffin when they saw he got beans and greens. It can't be without cornbread! My mother and I have both vegetables. We had Squash-Casserole, Mac and cheese, Yams, roasted Okra, potatoes and Gravy and yeast rolls. I know we're gonna burn the vegetables. Her squash casrole is spoken as her speciality, and it was very good. Nice squash and onion taste. Mac had great ceddar flavor and was not overcooked. Delicious, actually house made yeast rolls. And the roasted Okra, very baked, has a great bang! Potatoes were the weak compound; I had much better. Yams were the perfect balance of cinnamon and sweetness, but without being overpowered. My father has the fried snapper with pinto beans and collar. He liked everything. My mom thought the pintos were too salty, but I thought they had a nice fleshy taste. Corn Muffin was a little dry. The fried Snapper was crispy and not fishy at all! Great victory. We all agree that we would return if we found ourselves in the neighborhood again."

"Never have so many eaten so much for so little. Three of us ate at La Libertad tonight; for two of us it was the first time there. As such I ordered far more than I should have, in an effort to taste as many dishes as possible. Thank goodness for takeout boxes. A couple of things to be aware of: there are no fountain drinks so be prepared to pay for soda refills. (they come in either a can or a bottle). Tea is all you can drink. You can charge your meal but you can't add a tip to the charge slip so bring some cash to tip the servers--they're worth it! Between us we ordered three pupusas. I got the chicharron y queso (pork and cheese). Diner #1 ordered the jalapeno and cheese pupusa and the pupusa with chicken and yummies on top (the pupusa itself was stuffed with cheese). I'm telling you, the next time I go here I'm just gonna go on a pupusa-palooza and order one of each kind and make a meal off of them. Our server brought out a large jar of pickled cabbage that you spoon over the pupusas. Soooo good! I also ordered some plantains and the corn pie stuffed with chicken and veggies. That was the only item that didn't completely wow me, though it was pretty good. I got the carne asada for my main entree and Diner #2 got a similar dish only his came with avocado, rice and beans and more plantains. Both of our steaks were cooked well down (we weren't asked how we wanted them) and I was afraid it would be dry and bland. Nope. It was delicious. The refried beans are unlike any I've ever had. They looked almost like chocolate pudding but don't let that put you off--more yummy goodness. I actually used mine as a sauce to dip the steak in. The rice was good but it was just rice. We had no room for dessert. I took a peek at what was on the tables around us. A chicken dish was calling my name. I saw huge bowls of soup and whole fish that were intriguing. I may have to only have half of the pupusas on my next visit so as to have room for that tasty looking chicken. I ordered a ton of food--we had separate checks and I had 2 cans of soda, plantains, corn pies, carne asada, and a pupusa and my total check was about twenty bucks and I've got enough leftover food for another meal and a half."

"Quaint diner with great service. From greeting to table service to checking out, you can guarantee you will receive good hospitality. This spot serves breakfast and lunch. We"ve experienced both services and received consistent service. Its diner food that provides the comfort in a meal. The lunch buffett is typical of a meat vegetable set up. They have daily specials. We tried the pork chop, mashed potato, and mac and cheese. The food does not dissapoint, huge servings and priced fairly at $10.79."
