"LOVED IT here!! I don 't know maybe just me, but you can tell it 's legit right when you walk in. I ordered the cinnamon coffee, chicken quesadilla (my friend 's order across from me in the photo was the breakfast enchiladas), and a cup (small bowl) of menudo. The cinnamon coffee wasn 't sweetened but it didn 't need to be it wasn 't bitter at all, and the cinnamon wasn 't overpowering either. The chicken quesadilla was a bit oily but otherwise quite good. Now. This was my first time trying menudo (purely due to not knowing it existed until recently, forgive me) so maybe I don 't know better or worse but. This. This is the one, y 'all. This stuff is SO, SO GOOD. If you 're like me and love squishy things like tripe, which is in it, you 'll love this too! I haven 't been this blissed out on a single dish in a long time and I am a picky eater. PLEASE for your own good try it!! Will be back with my family for sure!!"

"Alma's food is really the best Mexican food I ever had. It makes everything from scratches, including their chips, salsa, guacamole and carrots and jalepenos that come with every meal. The value is incredible. I'm going to the 301 Special. It is $11 and includes a Tostada, Taco, Enchilada, Tamale or Chile Relleno, Beans and Rice! It is a lot of high quality Mexican food for a good price. Alma's beans are amazing! I don't know what she's in, but they have incredible taste. They taste a little nutty with a very light touch of sweetness. I call them cracking beans because they're addicted! I really don't know how this restaurant was not shown on countless food TV shows. The 301 Cafe is an absolute hidden jewel of Orange County!"
