"Group of 8 friends for our first fish and fizz dinner at the spread. Online booking was not 100% the system only accepted up to 6 and subsequent email confirmations were also included for 6, although our party size of 8 was included in notes. could not get on the spread per phone despite several attempts, so finally had to jump in to be sure that the booking was recorded for 8 around a table. rectangular table for 8 set and ready for us. Drinks that were ordered either from the bar or the female server were smooth and uncomplicated. all chose the fish and chips, but had the opportunity to exchange the fizz for a bottle of wine. both fizz and wein were very pale. fabulous fish well boiled, all crispy teig and a very generous size. chips were good, but could perhaps be a tad ‘herbal’ and not so overly brown. no problems with taste and quantity, but maybe a range for improvement? service was exemplary during our visit. smiley, professional and fast both at the table and at the bar. we look forward to our next."
