"It is beyond my comprehension how anyone can write a good review for Persian Room. Do these people have no taste for good food? or are these false/paid reviews? Chef does not know how to cook period. Essence of cooking is perfectly balancing the flavours that in harmony create a delectable taste. Everything we ordered had distinctly one taste - SOUR! Serves are a joke, how can anyone justify serving 3 small cubes of lamb in a low quality, watered-down bland sauce & charge $26 for it, how?!? After being ripped off $90 for an award winning DISGUSTING FOOD, i feel compelled to let you all know, kindly DO NOT waste your time & money here please."

"You can’t swing a cat in Pyrmont without knocking over several coffee shops - and I’ve now tried at least 5-6 different places.<br>

Antidote is where I go for a consistent cappuccino. I like my coffee with a bit of wallop and it does so without being too bitter.<br>

If you’re looking for an exuberant breakfast - I’d head inside to Pulse instead - Antidote does a few baked things and some pies - and aside from an occasional bacon and egg roll barbecue they do, they’re nothing special. It’s mostly heat-up and toast sorts of things at Antidote.<br>

I’m not a coffee nerd, at all. In fact I may have a stone palate when it comes to coffee - I gave a siphon coffee a go for $7 and it tasted no different to me than a normal espresso. So don’t take my word for it, but one go at the specialty brews was enough for me. <br>

The staff are friendly enough, although when it gets super busy (which it does on peak periods, with lines out the door) - the staff can get quite overwhelmed, and the wait times bloat quite a bit.<br>

I’m a regular at Antidote and will likely continue to be, primarily for the fact that they make a “mean cappucino”."
