The ambience is great and definitely creates a world that is a long way reomoved from the noisy and shadowy Cleveland street it sits on. "My partner and I went to Allegra one week after it opened as it is close to where we live and the menu looked very interesting.The service was good and you could tell that they were working hard to create good customer service.There was no printed wine list so we had to ask the staff about the options, which was not a problem.We ordered Valpolicella after starting with two cocktails and for food we had the delicious spanner crab arrancini balls followed by the excellent burrata with fig. The ingredients were all fresh and the flavours were fantastic.We then had the semolina rigatoni with oxtail ragu and the mezzaluna filled with pumpkin in a burnt butter sage sauce. Both were well executed and the pasta cooked perfectly.We somehow managed to have a dessert each. The pannacotta with strawberries done three ways was superb and my tiramisu was one of the best i've had. It was far too big and I couldn't finish it.The only slight negative was that the air conditioning was too cold, however, I mentioned this to our server and the feedback was well received.Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant and my partner and I will definitely be going back."

"Rating 4.0 Very long queue for Sunday lunch. It’s really not the sort of place you come to have lunch with 5 friends. So our group ended up splitting up in seating (we already waited for about 30mins would have to wait much longer). A short list of ramen, mainly variations of the tonkotsu. I got it with the black garlic chilli, it was fragrant and very satisfying, lots of flavours packed into that broth, but not overly salty. The beef brisket baos had good flavours too and brisket were tender and well sauced, but that made the bao bun soggy at the thin folds, and it crumbled all the sauce fillings just went everywhere. Aside from that the wait it was definitely a good lunch."
