"We were on holiday to Vélez-Málaga and decided to eat here one night. After waiting for some considerable time to be shown to a table when the restaurant was not busy, we were asked what we would like to drink. Ordered 2 gin and tonics in Spanish and could see the barman pouring Beefeater. We live in Spain so are used to either Larios or being asked which gin. So I asked the barman to please change to the local gin as we preferred that. Much eye rolling occurred and eventually he returned with the drinks. We then ordered our food. My husband’s was fine but my Secreto Iberico was inedible. It was over cooked and when asked by the waiter I showed him and he agreed. He did apologise. I was disgusted by the general attitude of the staff and the state of my food. I’ve lived in Spain for almost 20 yrs and it’s the worst food I’ve had. I spoke to our hotel owner who agreed it was the worst restaurant she had been to also. She told me she avoids it, it has a bad reputation"
